PCHi pledges to be China’s leading personal care event

PCHi is readying to open its doors in February 2009 and organisers say that an increased focus on communication will contribute to the event’s success.

Currently the only dedicated event covering formulation and ingredients for the personal care and household care markets in China, it will run from February 24 – 26, at the Guangzhou Jinhan Exhibition Centre in southern China.

Focus on communications

Tackling the all-important issue of communicating the event, organisers Reed Sinopharm have revamped the promotional website, giving it enhanced features and capabilities aimed at communicating the event to a wider audience.

As well as feeding an events newsletter, the website now contains news about the industry as well as details about the show, including expected exhibitors and the event’s structure.

The updated version of the website includes a FAQ page, with a ‘submit my enquiry function’ as well as a function that allows companies to download the event’s logo for cross promotional purposes.

Free access to Cybrary

For the second year running the website is also offering free access the event’s Cybrary to all registered pre-qualified formulators.

Offered in collaboration with Chemidex, the Cybrary is a powerful search engine that gives formulators the chance to source information about ingredients and products from a database that includes the world’s largest suppliers.

Likewise the website also gives potential visitors and exhibitors the chance to pre-register ahead of the event, allowing them to benefit from market updates and show updates, as well as enabling visitors to avoid the queues on opening day.

Pre-registration privileges

Further more pre-registration will also give visitors extra privileges, including access to the ‘visitor zone’ on the event website.

The visitor zone includes the PCHi Scheduler, an online appointment planning programme that allows users to organise all their show appointments in one place before the event takes place.

“In the Exhibitor Zone, exhibiting companies will not only be able to access the online exhibitor manual to help prepare for their participation at PCHi 2009, they can also request meetings with pre-registered visitors,” said Jason Li, project manager for PCHi.
