Topline announces new COO for global operations

Rapidly expanding cosmetic packaging company Topline has announced the appointment of a new COO for its global operations, Vincent Groccia.

Groccia has been promoted within the company from the position of senior vice president, operations and business development and will now be responsible for the company's growing international operations.

Previously his role within the company involved developing the key accounts and business in both the North American and European markets, during a period of rapid growth.

“In his new role, he will lead Topline’s global business and strategic expansion into new markets and will continue to focus on growing Topline’s manufacturing base,” said Charles Tang, company president.

Topline expanding into new markets

Groccia joined Topline in 2001, but previous to that he has worked for at Daymon Associates, one of the world’s leading marketers of private label household and personal care products, as well as beginning his career 28 years ago at Colgate-Palmolive.

Back in May of this year, Topline’s expansion into new markets recently culminated in the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico.

The New Jersey-headquartered company currently has five manufacturing facilities in China, and aims to increase its global presence through the establishment of its first North American plant.

Global manufacturing footprint

Headed up by Brian Rayner, the 26,000 square-foot facility will initially run filling operations for fragrance and nail enamel products as well as the assembling of cosmetics gift sets.

Meanwhile, only last week the company announced it had acquired Michigan-based Motor City Plastics Company, marking the opening of its first manufacturing facility in the US.

Although the company did not reveal the financial details of the transaction, it said all assets of the injection blow-molding company were purchased, and the new facility will be renamed Topline Michigan.
