It is the first time the Tokyo-based company has entered the Argentine market, and will see it team up with the Greta Group in Buenos Aires to distribute the products.
The Greta Group is a proven distributor with a track record of cosmetics sales in Argentina and Shiseido will be looking for it to implement a similar marketing strategy to the ones it has implemented in Europe and the US.
With this endeavor, Shiseido's overseas cosmetics sales will encompass 89 countries and regions (including Japan) throughout the world, with Argentina becoming the fifth country in the Latin American market in which Shiseido is pursuing, following Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Panama.
