One week to go until the Hair Care Ingredients virtual expo
The event will highlight some of the fastest growing trends in the constantly evolving hair care category, an area that is driven by innovative technology that is currently feeding demand for healthier looking hair, as well as fashion-driven trends that determine styling and coloring products.
For any hair care supplier this is a crucial event to discover what is driving the category right now, as well as offering numerous opportunities to interact with industry experts to drill down further on what sort of solutions the industry is looking for.
This year innovative and technologically advanced ingredients launches for hair care are being driven by demand for products that focus on hair loss and thinning, anti-aging treatments and coloring products that rely on fewer harsh ingredients.
Hair loss, anti-aging and coloring are the big trends this year
Many of the products that are being highlighted by the companies participating in the show’s virtual exhibition hall as well as the product presentations given as part of this year’s webinar program will draw on these trends.
The exhibition floor will include eight of the leading suppliers to the hair care category, with names such as BASF, Inolex, Dow and Rhodia all providing stands where cosmetic formulation professionals can interact with staff to find out about the latest developments at those companies.
Cosmetics Design will also have a fully manned stand on the show floor, providing information about the expo and conference program, or pointing individuals in the right direction for queries relating to show orientation, network or the day’s program.
The event also features a live conference programme, which includes three keynote webinars and two sponsored events, the first on styling and relaxing technologies from BASF, and the second on vital ingredients by Croda.
Webinars will highlight the latest in hair loss and green trends
The first of the keynote webinars will be presented by Michaela Peck, senior analyst at Datamonitor, who will highlight some of the most important trends and technologies that are on the horizon in the hair care segment right now.
The second webinar will focus on the natural and green trend and will feature Inge Terpstra, the regional R&D director for Unilever, who will explain how green technologies and ingredients are being incorporated into its hair care products.
Rounding up the programme will be a webinar on hair loss and thickening products, a category that has continued to grow in recent years, driven by consumer demand, but equally by increasingly effective ingredients.
