The event has been steadily growing since it first edition in 2008, when it started as a relatively modest trade show representing ingredients and other suppliers to the China market at the Shanghai Convention and Exhibition Center.
Since then it has grown to a fully-fledged show that is now hosted on alternate years in Guangzhou, Southern China, and the industrial and business heartland of Shanghai.
This year’s event, which is being held from 13 – 15 March in Hall 3 of the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center, is expected to draw the largest number of exhibitors, put at over 300 ingredient suppliers and distributers.
Over 300 exhibitors and more than 6,200 visitors are expected
Likewise, the organizer Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions is expecting to see at least 6,200 trade professionals go through the doors during the course of the three day event.
“Since the first edition of PCHi in 2008, we have witnessed steady growth in terms of floor space, as well as exhibitor and visitor quality,” said Lynn Xu, Project Manager, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.
This year’s event will also feature the China Personal Care & Cosmetic Innovation Awards (CPIA), which are now entering the third year and will, once again, be platforming the most innovative and effective new ingredients to hit the China market.
The ceremony for this award will take place on the first evening of the event, 13th March, and will highlight the highest performing ingredients that were launched on the market anytime between 2011 and 2013.
Dedicated area to demonstrate the history of the event
The show floor will also include a special celebratory feature area, which celebrates the six successful editions of the event since 2008, and also underlines the significant growth that the show has experienced during this time.
Likewise, media networking will also be a specific feature of the show, with 12 invited media titles, including Cosmetics Design, who will be sending journalists to pace the aisles and reporting on the latest development and product launches.
Last week, the organizers revealed what will be the largest ever conference program at the event, which is highlighted by an Innovation Forum, as well as Rules and Regulation, marketing trends, new technology and professional workshop segments.
