Teaming up with DKSH International and C.H. Erbslöh KG Chemiehandel, the German company will offer its new active cosmetic ingredients Glycoin natural and 28Extremoin to manufacturers of the personal care industry in Asia and where it deems the most important European countries.
"By offering our products through the distribution channels of DKSH C.H. Erbslöh we address a broad range of customers, and facilitate a more rapid use of our actives in cosmetic products," says Daniel Berger, CEO of bitop.
"The name bitop stands for innovative and effective ingredients and highest quality in production, research, and development. For us it is only consequent to serve our existing and potential customers by proven market leaders in their distribution territories."
Furthermore the German firm says it is able to strengthen its business with its established Ectoin ingredient, which is a derivate of an amino acid found in extremophilic microorganisms, and is used in skin care for its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties.
Boost
The deal will hopefully boost bitop’s active ingredient range towards the cosmetics industry, having partnered with companies that have a vast knowledge of the sector.
When it comes to Asia, DKSH is one of the leading market expansion services groups with a focus on the region in the fields of Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Performance Materials and Technology.
Finished goods firms Henkel, Wacker, and also companies like Pepsico, all use DKSH as a distributor, and will distribute bitop's Ectoin exclusively in 26 countries in Asia, including Japan, China, South Korea and India, as it has been doing since the start of the year.
C.H.Erbslöh is also bitop‘s distributor for active cosmetic ingredients in some Eastern European countries including Hungary.
The C.H. Erbslöh Group, founded in 1876, has grown into a pan-European distribution service, and offers a wide range of raw and auxiliary substances and ingredients supplied by global manufacturers.
