Asian Societies of Cosmetic Scientists calls for speakers
The event is one of the most important of its kind for the cosmetics industry in the Asia Pacific region, bringing together cosmetic chemists from across the region for a series of conferences, workshops and networking opportunities.
Organised by the Asian chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the 2015 event aims to bring cosmetic professionals up to speed on a host of industry issues, including regulation, technological developments and the latest scientific research.
Entries invited for cosmetics, toiletries and therapeutics
The organisers say they are currently accepting submissions as abstracts or full papers that cover the areas of cosmetics, toiletries and therapeutics.
More specifically, the requirements state that preference will be given to “relevant and original work that relates to the underlying theme of the conference”, which is to ensure that the region maintains its place as a leading force in the ever-changing global industry.
The accepted papers will also be eligible for the Lester Conrad Award for best original paper presentation, as well as the Jack Jacobs Memorial Trophy for entries that had original research conducted in Australia or New Zealand.
Submission of abstracts or full papers
The ASCC asks that submission should be sent for poster or presentations that will last approximately 25 to 30 minutes, with around five minutes for questions, while workshop presentations should be in the region of 60 to 90 minutes, again with five minutes for questions.
Abstracts should be 100 to 250 words in length and should be submitted in Microsoft Word format, double-spaced with a 10 or 12pt font, and should also specify whether it is for a poster, workshop or platform presentation, a title, author name, company name, postal address and other contact details.
The successful entries will be informed of their speaker appointment before 15th December, 2014, while full written papers are requested by 28th February, 2015. Further details can be obtained by clicking here.
