Japan the focus at in-cosmetics Asia

Japan will follow in the footsteps of Korea in 2013, and will be the country focus at this year’s in-cosmetics Asia event, held in Bangkok, November 4-6.

The trade show, now in its fourth year, will also feature a new Fragrance Zone, influenced by the platform at the European event, and an Interactive Formulation Lab.

“The new content on offer at this year’s show has been put together in response to extensive research and feedback from visitors who want practical training from industry leaders which will enable them create new products,” says Sarah Gibson, Exhibition Director, in-cosmetics Asia.

Asia-Pacific is one of the fastest growing cosmetic products markets in the world, with growth and technological progress driven by the demand for colour cosmetics, hair care and most crucially skin care products, all of which will lead to the region accounting for 28% of the global cosmetics and toiletries market by the end of 2014, according to Euromonitor.

The new Japan Country Focus will feature a dedicated pavilion housing exhibitors from the country; 'Marketing Trends Presentations' exploring the region’s most up-and-coming brands; consumer insights; and a Japanese Product Trail showcasing ingredients and projects that draw inspiration the market.

New features

New to this year’s event, the Interactive Formulation Lab will provide visitors with expertise and practical skills training, through a purpose-built, fully functional lab offering access to leading technical experts, who will share their theory and practical formulation tips.

Also to be launched at this year’s show, the Fragrance Zone will house the latest fragrance ingredient innovation and developments. It follows on from a similar feature that was showcased at the European event in Hamburg this year.

The in-cosmetics Asia event is also co-located with COSMEX, an international exhibition on cosmetics manufacturing, packaging, and labelling technologies and OEM/ODM services across ASEAN.

Its co-location with in-cosmetics Asia 2014 means that visitors are able to source everything required to launch and develop a cosmetics product, from the raw ingredients right through to packaging.

Sarah Gibson concludes, “in-cosmetics Asia has gone from strength to strength and we’re looking forward to another vibrant edition bringing together professionals from across the international cosmetics community as they discover innovation and develop new business partnerships.”
