Natural & Organic show represents new focus in Asia

As natural and organic supplement and beauty brands flocked to Hong Kong for the first Natural & Organic Products Asia event last week, the show is proof that consumer preference for green is on the up in Asia.

Up until now, an interest in green or organic cosmetics has been mainly reserved to the Western markets.

However, a new generation of health-conscious consumers is driving demand for safe and natural cosmetics and beauty services that offer a holistic approach to beauty and skin care.

The three day long event seen more than 140 exhibitors from 25 countries gather to showcase natural products and services from nutritional supplements to cosmetics, toiletries and spa supplies.

"Demand for safe, sustainable food and beauty products is creating a huge market for natural products in Asia as incomes rise and consumers demand healthier options for themselves and their families," says Stuart Bailey, event organizer.

According to Bailey, the event was part of a focus to create business opportunities for the natural food, health & nutrition, natural living and natural beauty & spa sectors.
