PCHi focuses on new ‘hot’ segments - botanical whitening and packaging design

Organizers of the eighth edition of the Personal Care & Homecare Ingredients show are zoning in on botanical whitening and packaging design, segments they report to be ‘hot’ in the region right now.

The segments are additions to the 'Product and Technology' and 'Cosmetics Packaging' categories of next year’s show from 12 – 14 March 2015, where industry experts will shed light on each trend-focused track.

According to Project Manager Elynn Xu, botanical whitening is gaining popularity as consumers are increasingly trusting products with proven botanical functions to deliver the benefit of more even and brighter skin tones.

Additionally she says savvy consumers now expect more from beauty packaging.

"After careful consideration, both topic segments have been incorporated with the aim of helping conference attendees gain a better understanding of the pertinent issues in these areas," says Xu.

We consider these segments to have more opportunities for interaction and engagement for professionals who will then share their knowledge, and foster information exchange between speakers and delegates,” she adds.

Full programme yet to be revealed

While the full conference programme is yet to be revealed, presentations will also fall under categories like 'Rules & Regulations' and 'Marketing Trends.'

Organisers say each track will comprise of several topics that will address the up-to-date challenges and trends within the cosmetics packaging, and the personal and home care ingredients industry.

According to Xu, collaborating with established associations and publishers has enriched previous PCHi conferences.

"This year, we plan to continue with the same arrangement of expert speakers from around the globe and are confident of putting together yet another robust conference programme with the strong support of our partners,” says Xu.

“PCHi continues to be China’s leading international sourcing platform for the personal care industry and we pride ourselves on sharing timely and valuable information to companies operating in this industry. I look forward to working with new and existing partners for the conference, and to unveil the full conference programme in due time,” the project manager concludes.
