Cosme Tech 2014 unveils full conference programme

The Cosme Tech 2014 event has lifted the lid on its full conference programme for next month’s show, which will include 20 full presentations that will mostly be available in English.

On the first day of the event, October 20th, a special session will start off the programme in the morning with a presentation entitled ‘Tips on How to Develop Cosmetics Products that Appeal to Consumers’.

This presentation will be given by Hak Hee Kang, who is a leading R&D executive at AmorePacific, and will be focusing on the development of innovative cosmetic products that ensure consumers come back to make repeat purchases

The first day of the programme will include four other presentations, including one that will focus on product planning, a talk about trends in multifunctional cosmetics, the Weleda brand’s take on design and a look into uka’s brand strategy.

October 21st presentations

The second day of the presentations, October 21st, will start off with a presentation focusing in on strategies to develop cosmetics to meet market needs.

This presentation will be given by Shigekazu Sugiyama, corporate office for domestic marketing, who will demonstrate how Shisiedo is attempting to gear its marketing strategy towards future trends.

Other presentations given during that day will include a presentation from Women’s Wear Daily about current trends, a look in on Shiseido’s beauty packaging strategy and a presentation about digital marketing.

October 22nd presentations

On the final day of the event, October 22nd, the programme will start with a presentation on Global Beauty trends, given by Mariko Takemura, a senior analyst at Euromonitor International.

The presentation will focus pm growing disposable income in the Southeast Asian region and how marketeers and cosmetics companies can best tap into the potential this market holds.

Other presentation that will be given on the final day will include a case studies on product planning and branding, as well as how to plan an entry or expansion into the Japanese market.
