Cosmoprof Asia celebrates 20th edition with French focused awards ceremony
Cosmoprof Asia 2015 will be held on the 11-13th of November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre where more than 2,300 exhibitors from around the world have already registered to attend.
One of the newest editions; the French Cosmetics Awards aims to acknowledge French brands that have showed 'originality and excellence' in their launches on the Asian market.
The panel is set to include representatives from Caudelie, L'Oréal, Ann Jema, retailer Mekim and Asia Spa & Wellness.
Other elements to be introduced this year includes a pavilion called “Discover Trends” which will house exhibitors representing three emerging segments of the beauty industry – cosmetics for men, natural and organic products, and baby products.
Interactive elements and insightful sessions
Over the last two decades, the beauty and personal care industry in Asia has gone from strength to strength, and is now worth more than USD 454 billion in annual retail sales, according to Euromonitor.
During this time, Cosmoprof organisers say the event has expanded in importance and size, now four times bigger since its inception in 1996.
'Spot on Beauty', a launchpad for new products will return following its success in 2014. The 3,700 square meter area showcases the latest launches in cosmetics, skin care, nail and hair.
To incorporate an element of interactive learning, a dedicated trends forum has also been added to this area.
Charity initiative 'Boutique' will also be back this year and visitors can hand-pick a selection of travel-sized product samples sponsored by 20 exhibitors in a customised gift box, for a small donation. All proceeds will go to a selected charity.
Meanwhile, global research companies including Euromonitor, Groupe Carlin International, Information et Inspiration and Kline will reveal the latest trends, insights and developments that are driving innovation in the beauty industry.
Sessions will include a focus on key Asian markets such as China, Japan and Indonesia, giving updates on market development, compliance and regulatory issues.
