PCHi industry show coming up in China

The Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) trade show, one of the key events in the beauty industry annual calendar, is set to take place 1 – 3 March.

Hosted in Shanghai by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, the event will bring together leaders from across beauty and personal care to discuss the current and future climate of the industry, and CosmeticsDesign will be on the ground reporting on the outcomes.

It will include a focus on fragrance, packaging, testing, regulation and market trends, and look forward to the latest and upcoming innovations within the beauty sphere, with over 400 domestic and international exhibitors.

According to the event organisers, PCHi is set to welcome manufacturers, ingredients suppliers, and industry professionals across packaging, technology and R&D and more, with over 10,000 visitors already pre-registered.

Highlights

One key highlight of this year's show is set to be the new 'Fragrance@PCHi' zone, which will be presenting natural oils and fragrance products from around the world, in confirmation of the dominance of the naturals trend within the industry now.

Alongside this, the 'Packaging&Testing@PCHi' zone will give a spotlight to the latest in technology and machinery trends in packaging, and play host to a feature on current popular design trends, the 'Packaging Innovation Zone', from market research firm Mintel.

According to the event’s organisers, “the Packaging Innovation Zone will provide visitors with a platform to connect with established formulation scientists and technology suppliers such as label printing companies and plastic raw materials manufacturers.”

Recognising excellence

Running throughout the three-day event will be a series of conference sessions led by industry experts on the latest trends and developments in personal care.

The event is set to then culminate in the China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards (CPCIA), which recognise 'outstanding companies and products' across various categories, and the PCHi Awards Ceremony, which recognises success in exhibitor efforts across the event.

Every year, we do our utmost to present creative and new show initiatives, and these activities have been well received by visitors and exhibitors alike,” says Elynn Xu, PCHi Project Manager, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.
