PCHi Shanghai 2016 beats expectations

The PCHi Shanghai 2016 event, held at the beginning of this month, had a significantly larger number of exhibitors and also attracted a greater number of attendees.

This year’s event attracted a total of 442 exhibitors, compared to when it was last held in Shanghai two years ago, when there were 380 visitors.

Likewise, the preliminary attendee figures show that on the first day of the event, visitor numbers were 8306, which was an increase of 33% compared to PCHi 2015 in Guangzhou, and an increase of 50% when compared to PCHi 2014 in Shanghai.

Growth came from Chinese exhibitors

“We are overwhelmed by the success of this year’s show, which has been driven by the continued growth and importance by domestic cosmetic manufacturers and suppliers,” said Elynn Xu, PCHi project Manager, Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.

“Reflecting this, we can report that the majority of this year’s growth in exhibitor numbers was down to the increasing number of Chinese companies who have taken stands.”

And building off the success of this year’s event, the organizer is targeting an even bigger event  when it returns to Guangzhou next year.

“The Guangzhou 2017 event will be our biggest to date, and this will be reflected by the fact that the exhibition will expand from two event halls to three, to accommodate the additional exhibitors we are expecting,” said Xu.
