Second Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia

Singapore will again be the host city for the 2nd Sun Protection & Anti-ageing Skin Care Conference Asia, which is scheduled to take place 13 – 14 July.

The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel Singapore and will feature a curated panel of international speakers who will be addressing the most pressing issues in the sun care and anti-ageing categories.

The event is being organized by Summit Events, and with this, the second edition, the aim is to provide the most cutting edge information for these categories, while also building the event into a go-to for the industry.

Keeping ahead of trends

“One challenge that manufacturers and formulators around the world consistently face is in keeping up with the latest industry trends,” said Sue Trousdale, managing director, Summit Events.

“At our conference, delegates will be able to acquire up-to-date knowledge about a wide range of sun protection and anti-ageing topics, particularly for Asian markets.”

As well as the full two-day conference programme, the event also provides crucial networking opportunities, as well as discussion platforms concerning those key industry trends.

Sun care meets anti-ageing

That the events rolls sun protection and anti-ageing into one is evident in the amount of anti-ageing and suncare products that are marketed with both claims.

Increasingly consumers are becoming aware that good sun and prevention of both UVA and UVB damage is one of the most effective ways of diminishing the effects of photoageing, one of the biggest contributing factors to facial wrinkles.

Consequently, this year’s conference programme targets is towards professionals in both disciplines, specifically R&D managers and directors, dermatologists, marketing and product managers, retailers of sun care products, regulatory affairs personnel, formulation chemists, product evaluation scientists, research scientists, raw materials suppliers, and suppliers of sun product and skin testing apparatus.

Areas that will be covered by the event will include Sun Damage and Ageing of Skin, Sun Protection and Anti-ageing Skin Care Strategies and Benefits, Regulatory and Consumer Impact and Testing, and Anti-ageing and Sun Care Technologies.
