Luxe Pack Shanghai debuts trends incubator

Luxe Pack Shanghai will this year feature a new “trends incubator” segment at the event, as a means of highlighting packaging innovation at the annual event.

The fast pace of trends in cosmetic and personal care packaging in China means that is absolutely crucial for brands to stay on top of what is trending and to react fast to changing consumer demands.

The trends incubator will be one of the highlights of the event, when it opens its doors next week, between April 13 -14, at the Shanghai Exhibition Center in the city’s Pudong district.

Trends incubator curated by design agency

As well as including a full conference programme and an extensive selection of luxury packaging suppliers to the cosmetics, fragrance, alcohol and premium foods markets, the event has a focus on networking and connecting the 200 exhibitors with packaging and brand professionals.

The Luxe Pack trends incubator has been curated by Centegrades design agency, which has significant involvement in the packaging design area throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The incubator area will provide two principle exhibition areas: the “Mix and Match Wall” and the ”Fragrance Retrospective”.

An artistic installation

The organizer says that the exhibition area is an artistic installation that offers visitors a key to the future in China: the successful encounter of Chinese legacy, global trends and new leading market segments.

These three trends will be illustrated through 16 topics whereby exhibitors will play a key role, providing their expertise in glass, paper, porcelain, wood, metal.

According to the organiser, this multisensorial space will play the role of both trend spotting and accelerating, while engaging the visitor to utilise them as part of their new business processes.

Further engaging visitors, the space also offers the opportunity to play a Mix & Match game with various thematics to create future trends on the spot.
