Cosmoprof Asia 2016 to highlight global brands and emerging trends in the APAC market
Cosmoprof Asia 2016, the annual international beauty exhibition held in Asia-Pacific (APAC), will feature two Hong-Kong based venues that together will host 2,700 exhibitors, 25 national and group pavilions, and an anticipated 60,000 visitors.
Attendees will visit the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), from 15-17 November 2016 and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 16-18 November 2016.
The main theme of this year’s beauty event is "One Fair Two Venues", as national and international exhibitors and visitors will gather at AWE for packaging, ingredients and processing equipment products and information, and HKCEC to view leading finished cosmetics.
Organised by Cosmoprof Asia Ltd, a joint-venture between BolognaFiere Group and UBM Asia Ltd, Cosmoprof Asia 2016 will feature a wide selection of sectors within the beauty industry including cosmetics packaging, cosmetics applications, professional beauty, cosmetics, hair care and nail care, to name a few.
A key theme of World Asia Forum centres around education and innovation, addressing the industry's most talked about trends and topics in the APAC region.
With over 30 sessions available across both venues, visitors to AWE will discover the latest ingredients, technologies and packaging to help drive product development, while HKCEC visitors can explore the latest trends and developments in products, branding and marketing.
AWE Features
From 15-17 November 2016, AWE in Hong Kong will welcome a host of exhibitors and visitors from sectors including contract manufacturing/OEM/private labels; machinery and equipment; packaging materials supplier; print and label; and ingredients and formulation to showcase the latest trends and products within APAC.
- Innovation Circle Awards
This year’s Cosmoprof will be the first to showcase the Innovation Circle Awards, which has been created by internationally-renowned trends agency Beautystreams.
With the theme ‘Legends’, exhibiting brands specialising in packaging solutions and contract manufacturing can submit products and packaging that will feature across six categories.
The awards have been curated to recognise the top beauty industry specialists of innovative packaging, design and formulas.
Leading industry professionals including AmorePacific, centdegres, L'Oreal, Marie Dalgar, Martha Tillaar Companies and NYX Cosmetics will make up the judging panel and announce the winners on 15 November 2016.
- The Lipstick Factory
Three Italian exhibitors - Brivaplast (packaging), Chromavis (formulation) and Vetraco(machinery) - who are leaders in their respective fields - will introduce The Lipstick Factory at this year’s Cosmoprof.
The Lipstick Factory gives attendees the opportunity to experience the entire manufacturing process of luxury lipstick. Exhibitors and visitors will learn about the process from start-to-finish, including how raw materials are accurately searched and sourced and the fundamentals of mixing and pouring into the stick.
At the three-day event, 8,000 complimentary "Cosmoprof Asia Limited-Edition” lipsticks in four new shapes and textures will be presented to visitors.
- Spotlight on Ingredients
The new AEW zone, exclusive to Cosmoprof Asia, supports innovation within the beauty industry by helping formulators, R&D and business development professionals discover new ingredients, textures and formulations.
- Seminars
At AWE, there will be a range of seminars based on trend forecasts outlining the biggest innovations and news from APAC region.
On 15 November 2016 at AWE, Daekuen Tché, celebrity make-up artist and creative director will deliver a seminar on up and coming brands and products from brands from global beauty hub Korea. Tché will highlight the latest insights into the make-up, skin care, and packaging trends in the Korean sector.
The latest skin care trends will also be a key topic at AEW, with Michael Nolte, creative director at Beautystreams exploring recent product launches to next year’s future forecast.
Packaging and print trends for the Asian market will be a key topic on 16 November 2016, as Laura Perryman, materials and surface design editor at Beautystreams will discuss the latest shapes, materials, surface design and print motifs selected from international trends specifically for the Asian market.
AEW Exhibitors
Cosmetic packaging and applications, as well as the cosmetic and skincare products themselves, are key sectors of the beauty market for many brands exhibiting at Cosmoprof Asia 2016.
Taiwanese-based A & P Unico, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of prestige primary packaging for the cosmetics and skincare industries will be at AEW demonstrating the latest trends and product offerings.
Professional cosmetic packaging manufacturer, Alovey Cosmetic Packaging, specialising in make-up and skin care products will also showcase their developed products from China.
Individual leading products from within the beauty industry will also be out on display showcasing the latest colours, shapes and textures to highlight the evolving sector. Big Nose, a professional nail polish manufacturer in Taiwan will present their selection of polishes and professional make-up.
Jinhua Mingshi Technology, a new exhibitor for 2016, and Jinhua Sophia Cosmetics, both from China, will demonstrate the latest trends in the ingredients and formulations sectors.
HKCEC Highlights
Leading beauty brands from the perfumery, cosmetics and toiletries; professional beauty salon, spa products and equipment; hair products, equipment and salon furnishings; and nail care sectors will be exhibiting at the three-day event at the HKCEC venue from 16-18 November 2016.
- Extraordinary Gallery
At Cosmoprof 2016, the HKCEC will showcase the Extraordinary Gallery, which incorporates exhibition space integrated with a dedicated buyer’s lounge, press corner, bloggers station and summit area.
Designed by leading creative agency, centdegres, the show-in-the-show international platform will give visitors the opportunity to meet with a selection of significant brands and suppliers in the beauty industry offering new and innovative brands and products relevant to the APAC market.
A special edition of nail polish in three unique colours and textures has been jointly created by Groupe Pochet (world-leading glass maker), Fiabila (savoir-faire in nail polish) and centdegrés, and will be given to attendees at HKCEC.
- Discover Trends
Cosmoprof 2016 will feature a Discover Trends zone to reflect the latest innovations and developments within the APAC market. The zone will feature over 80 companies and their latest products in Baby Skincare and Toiletries, Men's Care, Natural and Organic Cosmetic, and Natural Health.
- Beauty and Charity collaborate
Boutique, the ‘shop for charity’ campaign will be returning to Cosmoprof for the third year in a row to offer customers travel size products from 20 sponsoring companies for a suggested donation to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
- Emerging Beauty
Cosmoprof will feature a specific area for small and medium-sized businesses and first-time exhibitors.
HKCEC Exhibitors
AROMASE, a natural and organic skincare brand, will highlight one of the leading trends in the APAC region by demonstrating its key offerings from Taiwan. Ausganica, from Hong Kong, will also display its natural and organic skin care products to represent the popular leading trend.
Babycare products is a popular trend emerging at this year’s Cosmoprof with Careline Australia, C3, Double Body Biotech and Guangdong Tianle Cosmetics. Just a few of the APAC-based brands exhibiting at the 2016 event.
A variety of make-up products will also be on display including the latest make-up accessories from D-UP Corporation and Dongguan Yilong Industrial; cosmetic brushes, sponges and cosmetic mirrors from East Rich Enterprise and professional make-up from GreenB Cosmetics.
