With an increasingly diverse number of new and evolving trends throughout the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, and as individual countries are being dominated by key trends, the Forum will help to open up conversations with its target audiences.
As the event is expected to welcome over 60,000 visitors from around the globe and more than 2,700 exhibitors, Cosmoprof Asia 2016 provides a platform to share information and insights on the APAC cosmetics market.
The educational programme will include a variety of presentations and panel discussions, around topics for the target audience. These will be conducted by industry experts and cover the most significant trends, insights and developments that are shaping the beauty industry.
The World Asia Forum will be held at both venues where Cosmoprof Asia will take place – AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) from 15th-17th November 2016 and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) 16th-18th November 2016, and visitors will have over 30 sessions to choose from.
AWE events
At AWE, market experts will share their insights on ingredients and formulation, packaging trends and market-specific areas.
Market research company, Kline, will discuss “The Global Personal Care Ingredients Market and its Regional Specificities”, which will focus on the state of the global speciality ingredients market.
Many brands are now opting for certification, particularly in the natural and organic sector. As such, as regulations and compliance become prominent in APAC, The Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists (HKSCC) will also present a three-hour session. The society will discuss the topics “Impact of Regulation on Claims and Innovative Products”, “Developing Formulations with Natural and/or Organic Elements”, and “How Can Innovative Concepts be Translated into Cosmetic Formulations”.
Focusing on China’s marketplace, the country’s cosmetic specialist QTCCC will return to introduce regulations on cosmetic ingredients in China, procedures for importing cosmetic ingredients into China and the registration of cosmetic produced by OEMs.
The Korean market, skincare, colour cosmetics, packaging and print will all be covered by trend agency Beautystreams, who will present four sessions highlighting what’s new and trend forecasts in each of these four key areas.
HKCEC Programme
HKCEC sessions will focus on the latest trends and developments in product, branding and marketing.
The Cosmoprof Asia Spa Conference will return for the 9th edition and will feature 13 industry speakers from the spa and wellness industry. The speakers will discuss the spa and wellness trends impacting the sector in 2017, how to integrate wellness services into spa centres, and the latest technologies and innovations that are prevalent in the sector.
Sessions will also be held on individual global markets including Korea, the Philippines, China and the US. These will detail market statistics, consumer trends, distribution channels and business opportunities for the beauty industry in the APAC region.
The spotlight session will be “Japan Beauty Week” seminar organised by Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO). Consumers and brands will hear about the latest cosmetic market developments in Japan from Japan Cosmetic Industry Association (JCIA).
Leading brands including Ecocert, Information et Inspiration, Kline and Peclers Paris will also hold presentations covering international trends in natural and organic cosmetics, the latest Asian product trends from skin care to make up, at-home beauty devices and their potential, and beauty trend forecasts for summer 2018.
