Toyo Ink merges subsidiary companies in France

Japanese Toyo Ink SC Holdings merges multiple subsidiary companies based in France in a bid to reach the European market.

Toyo Ink SC Holdings, the parent company of the Toyo Ink Group of companies, has announced that its wholly-owned consolidated subsidiary Toyo Ink Europe Speciality Chemicals, based in France, has absorbed two other consolidated subsidiaries of the Group, Toyo Ink Europe and Toyo Ink Europe Plastic Colorant, both located in France.

President and representative director of Toyo Ink, Katsumi Kitagawa, based in Tokyo, made the announcement on 1st November 2016.

Cosmetic printing and packaging

Toyo Ink in a global manufacturer with a prominent presence in the international marketplace, namely Japan, China and Eastern Asia, Oceania, Europe and Americas.

The specialty chemical manufacturer also engages in printing, packaging, polymers and coatings, as well as the production of colourants and functional materials for the cosmetics sectors.

The surviving company, Toyo Ink Europe Speciality Chemicals, develops and manufactures high-performance pigments that are frequently used in cosmetics design and packaging.

Toyo Ink Europe, which is one of the absorbed companies, sells specialty chemical products including pigments, inkjet inks, printing inks, printing related materials and industrial products, while Toyo Ink Europe Plastic Colorant, another absorbed company, manufactures plastic colourants and compounds.

APAC growth

In collaboration with its sister subsidiaries: Toyo ADL, Toyo FPP and Toyo-Morton, Toyo Ink, a wholly owned subsidiary, showed its ethical packaging solutions at the Tokyo Pack 2016 exhibition in October 2016.

It highlighted the prominence of the growing sustainability trend within the APAC market and global brand activities through ethical and natural packaging.
