From the 15th November, HKCEC will discuss updates on maximising product development and how this is evolving, along with branding and marketing.

What’s new in 2016?

Cosmoprof Asia 2016 will introduce a number of new key areas for visitors and exhibitors alike including the World Asia Forum and the Innovation Circle Awards.

A host of popular sectors including cosmetics packaging, cosmetics applications, professional beauty, cosmetics, hair care and nail care will gather to hear the latest educational insights and discussions on innovation.

  • The World Asia Forum

In 2016, the international beauty platform will launch its educational programme, the World Asia Forum at both venues.

APAC is emerging as a hub for cosmetics, beauty and personal care markets, with increasing numbers of global brands focusing their market entry opportunities, product launches and acquisitions in the region.

It also represents an extensive and varied marketplace, as single nations such as South Korea with K-beauty and China with anti-aging face masks introduce unique and specific key trends.

In addition to these beauty favourites, ongoing developments focus on natural and organic products, colour cosmetics, packaging innovations and skin care multiproduct offerings.

The World Asia Forum will feature presentations and panel discussions held by industry experts. These will deliver information on the latest trends and regional development for the sector and will include a Q&A style opportunity for guests to ask the experts.

  • Innovation Circle Awards

Cosmoprof Asia will launch its first Innovation Circle Awards in 2016, which seeks to recognise and celebrate the most innovative packaging, design and formulas in the cosmetics and beauty industry.

The Awards, created in partnership with internationally-renowned trends agency Beautystreams, selected the theme ‘Legends’ and invited exhibiting brands specialising in packaging solutions and contract manufacturing to submit products and packagings.

Applicants entered have used raw nature, overwhelming scenarios, rough and brave warriors, mythical sagas to inspire innovative creations that use appropriate colours, textures and materials to reflect this year's theme.

A number of awards will be presented, including the best innovation in hair, best innovative primary packaging and best innovative secondary packaging.
