Wei Beauty launches new anti-pollution skin care solution

The China-based beauty brand expands its product portfolio to offer a Golden Root Multi-Action Anti-Pollution Mist, aimed at lowering the impact of pollution on the skin.

As pollution is a particular problem in built-up urban areas, Wei Beauty is benefitting from seeing increased interest in skin care solutions with pollutant protective properties.

The traditional Chinese medicine-based skincare brand has recently teamed up with luxurious beauty brand, Space NK, to bring APAC’s leading anti-pollution trend and Wei Beauty’s traditional Chinese herbal methods to the UK, US and online markets.

Wei Beauty’s latest skincare solution provides protection from the “skin-ageing effects of everyday environmental stress” through a range of antioxidants, vitamins and glycerin, Mitchell went on to say.

Herbal pollution protection

The anti-pollution mist contains a plant-based complex to detoxify and rehydrate skin that is sensitive and vulnerable to skin damage caused by environmental pollutants.

It is an alcohol-free formula and consists of high levels of fumaric acid to help prevent and limit the detrimental effects of skin exposure to air impurities.

The formula chemically reacts with the ozone in the air and reduces it to water, preventing toxins from causing free radical damage.

Golden Root is a core ingredient of Wei Beauty’s latest offering. Traditionally kept for Chinese royalty, the herb is synonymous in China with restoring youth.

The newly-launched mist — which also contains rose, white tea and ginger — continues to promote the brand’s established slogan, “where there is balance, there is beauty” and builds upon the global success of Wei Beauty’s top-selling product: Golden Root Purifying Mud Mask.
