ADA Cosmetics acquires RDI Malaysia
Strategic deal
Taking effect immediately, ADA Cosmetics International (ADA), announced that its recent acquisition of RDI Malaysia represents its efforts to continue its “focused, growth-oriented expansion”.
Targeting global hotels and spas
ADA hopes that this strategic investment will support and bolster its position within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) marketplace and help it market its name as a leading provider of soap dispensers, shampoos, shower gels, massage oils, conditioners, and body lotions for hotel and spa facilities.
Located in Kuala Lumpur, RDI Malaysia’s primary sales markets are Asia and North America.
Through its timely and calculated business decision, ADA will further its expansion of activities and efforts in the Southeast Asia region, along with increasing its hotel-focused presence around the globe.
Forging growth through procurement
Established in 1979, in recent times, ADA has propelled its global stance by acquiring specific and carefully-selected companies that have “additional competencies or which provide access to new market segments”.
Concentrating on these acquisitions, the company states that its organic growth in the past three years was supported by specific acquisitions in cooperation with majority shareholder Ardian.
“In 2015, the acquisitions of the Danish company Scandinavian Amenities and British Pacific Direct were strategic milestones,” outlined Wilhelm B. Könning, CEO at ADA.
The ADA Group is financed predominantly by private equity investors, following its management buyout in 2006.
Beyond Asia
Highlighting how its latest purchase of RDI Malaysia contributes to the company’s long-term vision, Könning added: “The acquisition of RDI Malaysia continues this course of growth while the expansion of our corporate activities in the southeastern market strengthens our international presence.”
“This investment is a significant step in the ongoing development of this growth-oriented region.”
ADA emphasised that this acquisition enables the company to provide customers with “true added value; local production and warehousing enables them to profit from first-class quality and short delivery times”.
