Hailed as the leading B2B beauty event in the Asia-Pacific region, Cosmoprof Asia presents the region’s latest trends and innovations at its two trade fair venues.
Beauty names and formulators will gather at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) (hosting Cosmopack Asia) from 14-16 November; and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from 15-17 November.
Korea's accolade
Often considered as one of most important cosmetic manufacturing centres, Korea has been selected as this year’s Country of Honour following the global widespread appeal of its K-beauty phenomenon.
A total of 549 Korean exhibitors at the 22nd edition of Cosmoprof Asia represents an increase of 17% compared to last year’s show.
Experiential beauty
Cosmoprof Asia will team up with brand intelligence and design firm, Centdegrés, to showcase “The Light Powder”, a project that involves both trade fair venues to display the production process and customer experience of a compact powder. This collaboration will showcase a social and multi-sensory experience. This approach is proving popular with consumers throughout Asia as they seek interactive, immersive and experiential shopping.
Leading packaging and OEM companies have partnered to bring the installation to life. These include: ACME Cosmetic Components, Cosmei, MYC Packaging Innovation, Nastritex, Omnicos Group and Wish-Tech.
This is strengthened by “CosmoLab”, a multi-sensory lab in the “Ingredients & Lab” section in Cosmopack Asia created with Opal Cosmetics. Visitors will be able to see the production process and technology used in making ‘bath fizzers’.
Industry recognition
Organised in collaboration with Beautystreams and Centdegrés, this year’s Cosmoprof Awards have received 314 entries submitted by 178 exhibiting companies at both venues. The “Cosmoprof Awards – Innovation Circle” will praise the most forward-thinking formulations, technologies and packaging by exhibitors at Cosmopack Asia. “Cosmoprof Awards – Beauty Circle” will then award the finest finished products by exhibitors at HKCEC. The winners of the awards will be chosen by two distinguished juries comprising 27 industry experts.
Cosmoprof Trends, a project by Beautystreams, provides thought-leadership and education relating to the latest trends and up-to-date industry developments.
Presenting for a 4th time at HKCEC, “Boutique”, a charity initiative and beauty sampling bar will offer a variety of travel-size products by selected exhibitors. The efforts will see the purchased goods packaged in a specially-designed shopping bag produced by Baralan. Proceeds from this initiative will be donated to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation for breast cancer research.
