in-cosmetics Global brings on board new speakers
Welcoming innovations and cutting-edge developments that support the evolution of today’s cosmetics and personal care markets, the leading industry event prepares to answer the sector’s rapidly changing landscape.
Now in its 27th year, in-cosmetics Global will take place in Amsterdam from 17-19 April 2018. This year’s comprehensive programme brings together over 20 new speakers who are set to share their market knowledge and insider expertise.
Anti-ageing and sun care
Anti-ageing and protection from the environment are prevalent concerns of the global personal care buyer, which is reflected in this year’s education programme.
As such, Dr. Karl Lintner, President of Kal’idees will moderate a workshop on Suncare Protection: The skin and the electromagnetic spectrum. Dr. Mathias Rohr will be present to explore non-invasive in vivo SPF testing by Hybrid Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy (HDRS).
The panel, which will also feature four other experts, will seek to answer questions on what is new in protecting the skin against the radiation of the electromagnetic spectrum and the importance of regulatory action regarding blue light and infrared irradiation claims.
Marketing Theatre Trends
Emma Fric, Head of Research and Future Insight at PeclersParis will speak for the first time at a marketing trends session on the Latin American beauty landscape. Visionary socio-cultural and beauty trends that will affect visitors’ businesses and manifest by impacting consumer demands in the next few years will be discussed.
New speaker Paula Cardoso, Head of Innovation Acceleration at Bloomoon will also examine the rate of innovation acceleration in the beauty industry. Staying on the topic of innovation, colleague Houda Lazaar, Innovation Business Developer will explore common cosmetic challenges influencing fast-paced innovations in both the short and long-term.
‘Are Indie brands still worth the hype?’ is a prevalent question in cosmetics as digital marketing strategies that harness the power of social media and the celebrity are on the lips and minds of attendees.
In the Marketing Trends Theatre, Camilla Marcus-Dew, Co-Founder of the ethical luxury personal care brand The Soap Co; and Zeze Oriaikhi-Sao, Founder of the luxury fragrance, bath and body care range from South Africa Malée Natural Science will put forward their arguments.
Angelika Meiss, editor, Cossma will moderate the conversation, which will also feature Nick Vaus, Partner and Creative Director at the brand design consultancy DewGibbons + Partners.
New for 2018
Along with the event’s educational programme, in-cosmetics Global will also unveil a wide selection of new features for 2018.
As biotechnology actives and the future of anti-ageing remain ever-important, a series of ‘silent’ R&D Tours sponsored by Mibelle Biochemistry and Novacap will take place on two of the industry key trends.
Concentrating on anti-pollution, microbiome and anti-ageing, in collaboration with Skinobs, the Boost Your Test features an interactive area focusing on human testing, in-vitro testing and testing through high tech devices.
The 2018 edition of the event will showcase a Formulation Challenge on 19th April, sponsored by Croda. In 90 minutes, six leading manufacturers will produce an innovative formulation from a box of mystery raw materials that will then be judged by a panel of market specialists.
In partnership with Conusbat, a regulatory conference will also take place on 16 April at 2pm, designed to update all regulatory and compliance professionals visiting on vital regulations.
