Once again, the trade show will be returning to Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre from February 26 to 28 next year.
A bridge to China
Visitors to the trade show can expect to see more than 600 industry players from almost 30 countries showcase an extensive range of cosmetics ingredients and cutting-edge technologies. The big names attending the three-day event include multi-national companies such as BASF, Croda, and DSM.
Among these, 20% are first-time exhibitors, while almost 40% are international companies seeking to strengthen their presence in the lucrative Chinese market, shares RSE.
According to the China Association of Fragrance Flavour and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), the market size for cosmetics and personal care in China has experienced a meteoric rise, growing from RMB350m in 1980 to RMB319bn in 2017.
Currently, China is the second-largest market for cosmetics, and it shows no sign of slowing down. The country continues to enjoy rapid economic growth and the disposable income levels as well as consumption levels will continue to rise.
“As the choice sourcing platform in China for the global personal care industry, PCHi always strives to bridge the gap between our domestic and international industry partners,” said Peter Liu, PCHi Project Manager at RSE.
”Our keen understanding of the market as a whole allows us to offer a valuable platform for business exchange to our partners year after year, expanding our event's impact and influence beyond China and the Asian region.”
