Cosmetics Design is bringing you a new regular column, From The Editor’s Desk, designed to offer our readers a more in depth perspective on matters that are impacting our industry.

For 15 years we have been bringing you the latest news from the industry, highlighting the trends, regulations and business moves that help you, the industry decision makers, to make the type of strategic moves that create a thriving business.

Now we want to take our news coverage to that extra step, providing insightful and analytical articles that give a clearer picture of how the cosmetics and personal care industry is shaping up and the direction it is likely to take in the future.

Staying a step ahead of the game

From The Editor’s Desk will highlight issues pertaining to any current event or news that really impacts the industry, whether that be spelling out what the seemingly innocuous might actually mean or providing greater analysis on some of the more obvious issues.

To this end, we will flag up and interpret everything from a newly forming trend or development of an existing trend, to a far-reaching regulation or new law, a newly appointed executive at one of the big multinationals or looking that bit closer at the latest scientific research or data.

And there is good reason to stay ahead on this kind of information. Our industry moves fast, and for those that do not keep apace, it can mean the difference between staying competitive or falling behind at an alarmingly rate.

A weekly column, every Wednesday

The From The Editor’s Desk series will be brought to you once a week because the team at Cosmetics Design wants to create new tools for business professionals wanting to stay ahead.

Starting next week, the series will be published every Wednesday across all three Cosmetics Design websites, which includes Cosmetics Design USA, Cosmetics Design Europe and Cosmetics Design Asia Pacific.
