Formulating for indie beauty

One of our most noteworthy special editions will be going out at the end of this month, and is titled Formulating For Indie Beauty.

This collection of articles will contain research and analysis concerning the significant challenges that formulating for indie beauty can present.

Often as not it is finding a formulator and manufacturer that can handle the smaller volumes required by these sort of brands, so our coverage will focus on how ingredient players and contract manufacturers are adapting to this fast emerging category.

In-cosmetics Global

In February and Mach we will be devoting a lot of our coverage to the new product launches and trends that are emerging in the run up to the in-cosmetics Global, the most significant global  event on the calendar for formulation experts.

Taking place in Paris, April 2 – 4, the fact that France is such a major player in the industry should server to make this one of most vibrant in-cosmetics events to date.

The Cosmetics Design team coverage will focus on two Trends to Watch at in-cosmetics special edition newsletters, together with pre- and post show special edition newsletters to highlight our extensive coverage of the event.

Beauty Industry Awards

The next few months will also see many of our subscribers getting behind our third annual Beauty Industry Awards.

This year we have tend categories, with the addition of the brand new Microbiome category for finished products.

The award ceremony will be taking place on the sidelines of the in-cosmetics Global event in Paris, on the evening of April 3rd. For full details please check out the dedicated website by clicking here.

Cosmetics Design Summit : Microbiome

June 24 – 25 is the dates to note in your calendar for the inaugural Cosmetics Design Summit, which this year will focus on Microbiome Innovation.

During a packed two-day conference programme, which will take place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, we will explore the science that is driving microbiome formulation, the product offerings and the regulatory framework that governs the category.

Cannabis and water reduction

Looking to the rest of the year, other interesting topics will include a Webinar on CBD oil, due to be broadcast on September 9th, together with a Special Edition Newsletter on Water Reduction formulation, due to be published on December 4th.

CBD is really taking the industry by storm, with innumerable skin care brands hitting the shelves in in North America and a steady flow of new launches also hitting the European market, but there are challenges with this kind of formulation and our coverage will go into more detail on that.

Creating environmentally friendly and sustainable products is also another big challenge for manufacturers, and with a growing emphasis on water reduction, we will take a look at how formulators can approach this challenge.
