Luxury hotel and resort group Aman has shifted focus to further develop its fragrance, skin care and dietary supplement range amid prolonged travel restrictions imposed by COVID-19.

Aman Fine Fragrance was its latest line launched in December 2020. It consists of five fragrances in the collection, inspired by locations such as Thailand, Indonesia, Italy, Morocco and US (New York).

The company expects to launch two scents this Spring, inspired by Aman’s destinations at Amangiri (Utah, US) and Aman Tokyo.

Travel scents

According to Yuki Kiyono, head of wellness and spa at Aman, the Fine Fragrance range is gender-neutral and was two years in the making.

The fragrance collection was formulated by master perfumer Jacques Chabert, together with Vladislav Doronin, chairman and CEO of Aman to ensure the aroma profiles represented the specific Aman destination.

The current collection evokes scents of the sea, jungle, desert, and city.

The Aman Fine Fragrance (50mL/bottle) collection is sold in boutiques at Aman destinations worldwide. However due to the COVID-19 travel restrictions in many countries, they are also available online via the Aman Shop.

The fragrances are free from phthalates, artificial colourants, parabens and formaldehydes.

Self-care and health

The launch of its fragrance line comes after Aman’s Skincare (2018) and supplement range, SVA (2020).

The skin care range includes cleansers, creams, serums, scrubs, masks and oils. In 2020, the company added Spa Candles to the skin care collection.

Kiyono told CosmeticsDesign-Asia: “The range features three 220g scented candles that follow the Grounding, Purifying and Nourishing pathways from the Aman Skincare collection, each with its own aromatic benefits.”

In 2021, Aman hopes to introduce new products into the skin care range, to allow customers to create their own at-home spa rituals.

In line with growing concerns on health, SVA was launched in September 2020, comprising a range of herbal formulas and micronutrient supplements for menopause, brain health and digestion.

This year, Aman will introduce a range of botanical tonics, as it continues to develop the SVA brand.

Aman has been working to make the Aman lifestyle accessible outside the parameters of its hotels and resorts over the past five years.
