Generally speaking, CBD oil is considered to have anti-inflammatory, soothing and moisturizing properties, and some research shows it can be specifically useful for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, pruritis, and inflammatory conditions, according to the National Institutes of Health.
CBD is also commonly distributed as an oil or powder.
It is important to note that many brands that produce CBD products will only ship products DTC in states which with the appropriate laws for CBD sales.
This list will include both CBD and hemp products, which do not have CBD but come from the same family of plants and are more accessible to multinationals.
Lotions and creams
Arguably, the most popular type of CBD product is creams.
Many brands carry creams for facial skin care routines. Brand HempBeauty carries a CBD day cream, which also touts rosehip and aloe ingredients, and Hemp Code carries lip balm and hand balm.
The personal care product side of garment brand Victoria Secret carries a line of hemp seed oil products, including body cream and face masks.
Not all CBD lotions are in cream form. TheraOne carries a CBD balm in a stick format and brand Bawdy sells a booty balm in a similar format.
Serums
Alongside cream moisturizers, CBD has been thoroughly used in serums and there are many brands that carry a version of it. Barely scratching the surface CBD serums boost the following benefits:

Hair products
Outside of skin care, there is a smaller market of hair care products with CBD and hemp.
Some hair products market themselves as CBD products, like R+Co Supergarden Conditioner and Talyoni Repair and Strengthen Shampoo, but many more products utilize hemp seed oil instead.
Within the hemp seed oil category, there are products from mass-market brands like Unilever’s Love Beauty and Planet and Shea Moisture, as well as more expensive products like Hemp Code’s hair products.
There are also some CBD and hemp hair products outside of the washing category, like Wellness Premium Products hair serum, Giovanni’s Hemp Hydrating Hair Shine Spray and a blowout texture spray from Surface.
Toothpaste and oral care products
CBD is integrating into oral care products, particularly in Colgate-Palmolive’s brand Hello. The brand carries two types of CBD toothpaste, two types of lip balm, hemp seed mouth wash and hemp seed flosses.
P&G’s Burt’s Bees also previously sold a hemp seed oil and charcoal toothpaste, but it is no longer available.
There are also some indie options, like Supersmiles whitening toothpaste, but the oral care CBD market is far less saturated.
Cleansers
Cleansers are also a fairly saturated CBD market, with some multinationals in on the sector. Kao’s Biore sells a hemp seed oil detox cleanser. Pacifica, a brand found in many large stores in the US, also carries a “balancing” facewash with hemp.
Kiehl’s, owned by L’Oreal, also has a hemp seed cleaners in the lux skincare space.
There are also several CBD options in the solid cleanser space, with Dr. Bronners carrying an entire line of bar soaps with hemp seed extracts. There are also many indie hemp seed oil and CBD options in solid cleansers.
