International beauty and personal care ingredients event InCosmetics Global is a highlight of the calendar for many cosmetics brands and formulators.
This year, the event will be held at the Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris, between 16-18 April, and is set to play host to over 900 personal care ingredient suppliers from across the world.
If you're heading to the show, we've highlighted some things you may wish to look out for this year:
The Sustainability Zone
The entire section is dedicated to helping brands become more sustainable. It’s being held in partnership with The Green Chemist Consultancy and Ecovia Intelligence and is set to feature a Sustainability Display and Theatre, Sustainability Pavilion – dedicated space where visitors can identify and explore sustainable solutions across the entire cosmetics value chain – and a new Sustainability Zone Forum.
There will be an interactive product Display area, and an educational programme on trends and issues facing the industry.
The Innovation Zone
The Innovation Zone will feature over 180 new ingredients that have launched within the last six months. This area includes a Testing, Regulation & Lab Zone; a Boost your Test area to help suppliers identify the most appropriate testing methods; a Sensory Bar dedicated to showcasing new sensations for products; a Make-Up Bar that will offer visitors the interactive opportunity to test and try emerging colour cosmetics formulations; and a Fragrance Zone to gain advice and source aromatic components for formulations.
There will also be R&D Tours that will follow the themes of Neurocosmetics; Advancement in Microbiome; and Skinification of the Scalp. Plus, over 90 Technical Seminars over the three-day show.
The Formulation Lab
The Formulation Lab will offer up to 27 interactive, hands-on experiences and lessons in formulation techniques and practices. This is exclusively for R&D and lab staff at cosmetic contract manufacturers, private labels, and Indie brands.
Plus, there will be dedicated areas to unite suppliers from different countries, including France, UK, Spain, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia, Peru, and China.
The event has also teamed up with ingredient platform, Covalo to create an advanced search index platform to “streamline ingredient exploration.”
Market intelligence
The Marketing Trends Theatre will host presentations and panel discussions on the latest trends, breakthroughs, and regulations shaping the industry. Just some of the speaker lineup includes Cosmetics Design Asia’s Amanda Lim; Euromonitor International, Flying Fish Lab, Kenvue, Beautystreams, Kline & Co, Personal Care Regulatory Ltd, and the Institute of Personal Care Science.
The awards ceremony soirée
On the evening of 16 April, visitors are invited to a free awards ceremony that will unveil this year’s winners across seven core categories, including the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award, the Kenvue Trusted Science Award, Green Ingredient Award, Sustainable Stand Award, Rising Star Award, Make-Up Bar Award, and the Sensory Bar Award.
