The pursuit of a youthful, plump complexion is timeless, ensuring a constant demand for hydrating products.
This demand has been amplified by extreme weather patterns—be it harsh cold or sweltering heat—can leave skin dehydrated and in need of replenishment.
Beauty consumers are increasingly seeking products that not only provide moisture but also enhance skin’s texture, elasticity, and more for overall radiance.
This shift has led to higher demand for hydrating formulas that target common concerns like dryness, fine lines, and dullness, which can all contribute to the loss of a youthful appearance.
In response, skincare brands are introducing innovative products that deliver intense hydration while maintaining lightweight, breathable textures.
This focus on hydration is not just limited to just face moisturisers.
Many brands are expanding their offerings to include hydrating serums, masks, and toners. Additionally, brands are also extending their solutions to hair and body.
Laneige Water Bank Gel Cleanser
The Water Bank series needs no introduction. One of Laneige’s key skin care ranges, the products aim to restore and protect the skin barrier with ingredients such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid.
Over the years the range has expanded and in 2025, Laniege is extending the line-up with a new member of the family – Water Bank Gel Cleanser.
According to the brand, the facial cleanser is based on the same Water Bank Technology and is designed to “protect your skin barrier with every wash.”
The ingredients include Amorepacific’s Blue Hyaluronic Acid to provide hydration, an amino acid complex to boost the skin barrier, as well as allantoin to help soothe the skin.
It is suitable for daily cleansing to remove impurities, makeup, and sunscreen without compromising the skin’s moisture barrier.
The brand claims the formula is suitable for sensitive skin as it is non-drying with a low pH of 5.0.
Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser and Gloss Balm
Peptides are among the most popular cosmetic ingredients today for its versatility. Not only do they boost hydration, the also boost collagen production, skin barrier function, and skin repair.
Skin care brand Paula’s Choice has launched two products based on the power of peptides, a facial moisturiser and a lip balm.
According to the brand, peptides are essential for maintaining your skin’s structure and elasticity. However, our natural peptide production slows down with age, leading to ageing signs like wrinkles and sagging.
The new face cream is powered by a peptide complex that contains three peptides: Hexapeptide-5, Oligopeptide-1, and Tridecapeptide-1.
Together, the complex boosts hydration, supports natural collagen, and smooths fine lines to give users a plump, youthful complexion.
The Pro-Collagen Peptide Gloss Balm formula features a different peptide complex that contains Tridecapeptide-1, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, and Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38.
This complex plumps and smooths lips, boosts collagen production, enhances volume, and provides lasting hydration to prevent lip thinning, said the brand.
