Go for gold: Ya-Man launches new skin care series with 24K gold-coated microneedles
Ya-Man is a Japanese beauty and wellness brand known for its innovative skincare and beauty devices.
Its two new products – Medilift Needle Lift Peel Serum and Medilift Needle Lift Lotion – incorporate approximately 600,000 and 1.8 million microneedles respectively.
According to the firm, the number of needles has been adjusted to the optimal levels for ease of use.
The mircroneedles are natural-derived hydrolyzed sponge coated with 99.9% pure gold.
The needles also contain the Golden Needle Complex, which consists of five ingredients: terminalia arjuna, Kakadu plum, centella asiatica, bulbine frutescens, and red clover.
During application, the microneedles result in a tingling sensation. This indicates the penetration of the needles into the skin, said the firm.
The serum contains the Clear Peel Mix, six exfoliating ingredients that have exfoliating or skin softening, such as mandelic acid and glycolic acid.
In addition, the serum features Enantia Chlorantha Bark extract and royal jelly acid. The former tightens the skin while the latter balances moisture and oil levels.
Together, these ingredients work to minimise pore and create a smoother and more refined skin appearance.
Ya-Man describes its Medilift Needle Lift Lotion as a first-of-its-kind product with a thick texture that leaves a refreshing, non-sticky finish upon application.
The lotion contains a trio of ingredients for hydration: eternity flower, maple, and white peony.
It also contains bakuchiol, a gentler alternative to retinol, as an anti-ageing ingredient, as well as three types of ceramides to support the skin barrier.
Both products utilise the 24K gold-coated micro-needles to deliver its ingredients deep into the skin.
Both products will launch starting October 31. Preceding the launch, the brand will hold a preview at its flagship store in Ginza Toyko from October 25 to 31.
This will offer participants the opportunity to experience the products firsthand and personally consult beauty advisors on the products.
The development of these products reflects the growing popularity of microneedle serums such as VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 Essence and Medicube Zero Exosome Shot.
Their rise in popularity has been driven by increasing consumer demand for “medi beauty” solutions – cosmetics products that offer alternatives to more invasive aesthetic treatments such as Botox and thread lifting.
Furthermore, consumers are increasingly looking for evidence-based claims and products that focus on the quality and effectiveness of ingredients.
